Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between specialising master and courses?

The Specialising Master in (User Experience Psychology) lasts one year, is aimed primarily at recent graduates, includes a compulsory placement and is taught in English.

Executive Courses (UX, UI) are short, part-time courses aimed primarily at professionals with varying levels of experience; they do not include an internship and are taught in Italian.

The Intensive Courses (Design System, Figma) are short, bespoke programmes covering technical and specialised topics, aimed exclusively at companies.

The E-learning Course (UX Writing) is a short, self-paced, pre-recorded and 100% online course.

What is the minimum attendance requirement for classes?

The minimum compulsory attendance rate is 75% of the total duration of the master’s programme or course.
In the event of absence, all lectures are recorded and made available, together with the relevant PDF, for up to 15 days after the end of the course.
However, practical classroom activities missed due to absence cannot be made up.

Are there any discounts or special offers available?

All courses offered by the Experience Design Academy include various discounts and special offers for alumni, employees and other groups. To find out more, visit the page for the master’s programme or course you are interested in on the POLI.design website and check the “Admissions” section.

How do I know if my profile is suitable?

All training programmes at the Experience Design Academy include the option of a preliminary interview with prospective students. This is a brief introductory call with the management team, designed to understand the candidate’s needs, expectations and background, and to assess how these align with the learning objectives of the programme in question.

How does the selection process work?

The Specialising Master (User Experience Psychology) requires applicants to submit their applications via the admissions portal of our partner institution, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore:

Once the application has been submitted, an introductory interview is arranged with the Master’s programme board. The outcome of the interview is communicated within a few days via email; if successful, the email will provide instructions on how to complete the enrolment process.

The Executive Courses (UX, UI) require applicants to submit their application via the POLI.design website, after which an interview is arranged with the Management to assess whether the applicant’s background aligns with the course’s educational objectives. The outcome of the interview is communicated within a few days via email; if successful, the email will provide instructions on how to finalise enrolment.

Intensive Courses (Design System, Figma) require applicants to submit their application via the POLI.design website, following which an interview is arranged with the Management to schedule and define the scope of the training programme.

The E-learning Course (UX Writing) does not require a selection process.

What people say about us

Training, creativity, inspiration and networking. A blend of professionalism and passion!

The Experience Design Academy has equipped me with useful tools for the workplace, enabling me to move from a more generalist role to a more specialised one in this sector, and to become a more well-rounded professional.

Thanks to the Experience Design Academy course, I have improved my work and enhanced my ability to deliver truly human-centred services to Italian universities.

Thanks to this learning experience, I’ve focused on the ‘whys’ rather than worrying straight away about the ‘hows’.

As well as gaining or building on my skills, I’ve come to realise my true potential, and my career has taken a different direction. I’ve changed companies and roles, and now I manage a CX and UX team.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity and for the patience and support you’ve shown us. My heart is now beating for XDA!

An extremely educational and stimulating experience.

You’ve opened up a whole new world for me.

Coming from a hybrid role (UX/UI), I found the feedback I received really inspiring, as well as the opportunity to put it into practice in a group project.

Top-class talks and lectures, and a highly supportive team.

The content, lecturers and presentations were truly inspiring and contributed significantly to my professional development.
