The Experience Design Academy develops personalized packages to directly cooperate with companies, starting from the analysis of the single reality and with verification of the internal competences and of the business model. In this way it is possible to structure shared paths with ad hoc methods and tools to achieve the business objectives. This is possible through different models: Hackathon, Workshop and Project Work.

01. Hackathon

Event of limited duration aimed at the production of semi-functioning prototypes starting from a pre-defined brief and/or a specific scope.

The offer includes:

  • preparation of the event
  • construction of functional toolkits for the event – event animation and design facilitation

Depending on your needs, you can use a space/ laboratory of the Design System of the Politecnico di Milano with a cost per day to be quantified as extra (e.g. EDME laboratory with multimedia space equipped with interactive touch screens, POLIfactory Fab-lab and makerspace, etc.).

02. Workshop

A method consolidated for its duration and methodology, aimed at identify new areas of design opportunities through concept generation activities. XDA offers two types of workshop:

A – On demand
With selected designers and/or students: it provides flexible timing and an ad hoc dimension of professional outputs.

B – Programmed
Connected to the didactics of courses or masters: it implies a greater number of participants,
time constraints linked to the didactics, themes linked to the courses/master chosen (50 courses are provided per year), the need to make arrangements with the individual directors
of the master.

03. Project Work

The Project Work is integrated in one of the POLI.design Courses and Masters (es. Higher Education Course in User Experience Design, Master in User Experience Psychology).
The Customer will indicate – in agreement with the course management – the theme and the company/brand/product to which he intends to propose it. The involved actors can then decide whether or not to follow up any solutions developed.

Sponsorship includes:

  • the participation of a defined number of employees and/or collaborators of the agency and/or the sponsoring company to the Project Work (in general two people).

The resources, under the guidance of the lecturer and a dedicated tutor, will focus the project activity on previously agreed themes.
